Eligibility Criteria for Israel Fund Grant Recipients

The Israel Fund’s grants are open to young Jewish professionals looking to make Aliyah and advance their careers in Israel.

Our review process evaluates each candidate holistically, assessing their qualifications, financial situation, and dedication to contributing to Israel's economy and society. We encourage all eligible Jewish professionals passionate about making Aliyah to apply.

The Fund offers a variety of grant initiatives focused on different industries and professions. Applicants should review the currently available grants to see if their specific field is covered. If a relevant grant is not active, interested candidates can sign up for our mailing list to be notified when new grant opportunities become available.

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Aliyah Requirements
Applicants must have an open file with Nefesh B'Nefesh and provide their file number as part of the application. Grant recipients must agree to move to Israel within (2) months of approval for Aliyah by the Ministry of the Interior and have obtained an Oleh's Certificate before receiving funds.

Minimum 3 Years Professional Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of professional work experience in their chosen field. This experience should demonstrate a track record of success and the potential to succeed in the Israeli job market.

Letters of Recommendation
Each applicant must submit 2 letters of recommendation–one personal and one professional. These letters should highlight the applicant's skills, work ethic, and commitment to building a future in Israel.

Age Requirement
Applicants must be under the age of 45 at the time of application. This ensures grantees have ample time to establish their careers in Israel.

Financial Need
To demonstrate financial need, applicants must have a total cash balance (savings, investments, etc.) of under $30,000. This threshold helps the Fund identify those who would benefit most from the financial support to facilitate a smooth Aliyah process

Help the Jewish people return home.

With 8.5 million Jews currently living outside of Israel, every donation brings us closer to home. Please consider making a gift in any amount and join us in this historic endeavor to reunite the Jewish people.

Whether you donate $1, $1,000 or more, your contribution to The Israel Fund plays a vital role in strengthening the Jewish homeland.

In fact,
every $5,000 we raise allows us to empower one young professional with the means to make Aliyah and contribute their expertise to Israel's long-term prosperity.
